Cost of Doing Business/Incentives

The Alliance has access to funding incentives and opportunities such as:

Greater Susquehanna Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ)

The KIZ program is intended to renew and focus our commitment to creating new technologies and new entrepreneurs – using our colleges and universities to deliver economic development opportunities throughout the Commonwealth. In recent years, Pennsylvania’s innovation measures, patents, and new company formation have trailed those of other states – the Keystone Innovation Zone program will use improvement in those measures as a benchmark of success. The Bloomsburg Regional Technology Center is part of the Greater Susquehanna Keystone Innovation Zone. Contact 570-245-0096

Low-interest loans from SEDA-Council of Governments (SEDA-COG)

SEDA-COG can provide partial financing for your business project, whether you’re expanding the company, or starting a new one. They offer several financing programs and, depending on the one that’s right for you, you may be eligible for as little as $2,500 or as much as $1,300,000. Loans are generally for asset acquisition – land, capital expenditures, machinery, buildings, and equipment. Loans for working capital are available on a limited basis. Financing programs are primarily for manufacturers and industrial enterprises, although there are a limited number for retail and service companies.
